Bishop W. Francis Malooly, Bishop of
the Diocese of Wilmington,
reminds Catholics in Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore
that Church law excuses Catholics from fulfilling their Sunday
obligation
to attend Mass due to a “grave cause,” such as unsafe travel
conditions
due to severe weather. Those who cannot safely attend Mass this
weekend
due to the snow are encouraged to watch televised Sunday Mass in
English
on WPVI-TV (Channel 6, Philadelphia) at 5:30 a.m., at various times
throughout the day on EWTN or in Spanish on Telemundo at 6:30 a.m.
